01 / THE HACK

One day.
Any idea.
Power it with AI.

Come Build with AI is an 11-hour hackathon for builders at every skill level. Join online or at a selected GOMYCODE space, form a team of up to five people and turn an idea into a working AI prototype between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM.

Submit a functional prototype, a 90-second demo and a short project card. The jury scores every eligible build against the same published 100-point rubric.

01

Choose your direction

Pick any problem, audience, tool or medium. There is no predetermined challenge list.

02

Find your people

Build solo, arrive with a team, or meet collaborators through guided team matching.

03

Build more, talk less

Short inputs, long build sprints, mentor checkpoints and a working prototype by the deadline.

04

Join from anywhere

Follow one shared schedule online or build live from a selected GOMYCODE space.

05

Get unstuck

Starter prompts, workshops and mentors help first-time builders move from idea to prototype.

06

Ship your proof

Every valid submission earns a public project card and a path to keep building.

02 / GOMYCODE SPACES

Build together.
In real spaces.

Join the shared build day from a participating GOMYCODE space or any ELIFE centre of Fondation Tunisie pour le Développement, and create alongside your local community.

In-person participants will have a collaborative workspace, local facilitation, mentor check-ins and a place to present their projects. The online experience remains available everywhere.

05 / EVALUATION CRITERIA // 100 POINTS

Useful.
Working.
Built today.

Every project is scored against the same six published criteria for a total of 100 points.

The jury evaluates what your team builds during the hackathon—not the price of your tools or the polish of a pre-existing product. A project built entirely with free tools can win any award.

20PTS

Problem + user value

A clear need, credible user and a solution that creates practical value or meaningful delight.

20PTS

Functional execution

The core experience works live and goes beyond a static concept or slide deck.

20PTS

Quality of AI use

AI is purposeful. The team can explain its tool, model and workflow choices.

15PTS

Testing + reliability

The team tests its idea and considers failure modes, cost, speed and fallbacks.

15PTS

Experience + demo

The product is understandable, usable and clearly demonstrated in 90 seconds.

10PTS

Responsible AI + data

Privacy, consent, bias, safety, copyright and human oversight are treated seriously.

Who can participate?

Students, alumni, instructors, developers, designers, product thinkers, entrepreneurs, creators and complete beginners. All skill levels are welcome.

Do I need an idea or a team?
